Auto Parts
Maintenance of auto parts is just as important as taking care of the entire car. Remember that a car is only as good as its parts, thus it is only essential that you give ample attention to car parts to ensure a smooth and trouble-free ride.
Here are some auto parts maintenance tips:
- Tires
- Check the tire pressure at least once a month. You can refer in the owner's manual for the recommended tire pressure.
- Make sure that you also rotate the tires every now and then to ensure that all tires wear equally.
- Inspect the tire's alignment. Remember that improper alignment can cause the suspension components to wear easily; and at the same time it results to poor handling or driving.
- Engine coolant
- A low coolant level can cause overheating and other car damages. As such, it is essential to regularly check the coolant tank.
- Make sure that you thoroughly inspect the tank for possible coolant leaks.
- Automatic transmission
- Use only the specified transmission fluid for your car. Remember that using the wrong transmission fluid can cause damage to the transmission. If you are not sure, double check the owner's manual or you can visit your local car dealer.
- Batteries
- Thoroughly inspect the battery for faulty wiring.
- Fluid Brakes
- Make that the fluid brakes are always on a tip top level. Inspect it at least twice a month.
